Asphalt Canvas Custom Art presents:
“She’s Been Everywhere, Man!”
A brand new series of paintings inspired by the Johnny Cash song, “I’ve Been Everywhere”.
My favorite photographs from family road trips and my passion for all things Americana, have heavily influenced the collective theme of this series.
Using reference imagery such as WPA travel posters, pinup nose art, popular mechanics magazines, and vintage car ads, each piece in the collection will depict women driving their own classic cars across the country, visiting the quintessential roadside attractions of America.
I’m humbled to announce the many talented craftsman that I will be working with on my new series: “She’s Been Everywhere, Man”.
Ryan’s Sheetmetal Designs
Ryan Alford, owner and artist of Ryan Sheet Metal Designs, will be building all my frames by hand, from scratch. He and I will work together to custom design a frame for each piece in the collection. He will then build the frame using his insane metal shaping skills and creativity. Check out his gallery of metal art and automotive interiors in the link above!
Alpha 6 Corp
James Kwiatkowski, owner and artist of Alpha 6 Corporation, has generously offered to sponsor this project by supplying all the enamel paint I will use to create each painting. His paint is hand made, hand mixed, and hand poured into each individual bottle. The enamel is high pigmented, fast drying, and a dream to work with. I am glad to be on his team.
Trent Sherrill Photography & Traditional Rod and Kulture Magazine
I will be using the classy pin up and automotive photographs by the highly talented Trent Sherrill Photography for inspiration. Check out his beautiful work in the link above!
In conjunction with Traditional Rod and Kulture Magazine, Trent had the idea to create a documentary about the making of the painting series. He will be filming the making of the paintings and custom frames, and the opening showcase of “She’s Been Everywhere, Man!”
Jeral Tidwel with Mack Brush Company
I am thankful for the kind hearted support of Artist, Jeral Tidwell, and his family. Jeral has supplied me with his high quality, multi purpose paint brushes for a while. Please check out his unique artwork, or grab a brush set of your own in the link above!. I’m proud to say all of these paintings will be made with his hand designed brushes!
