Description
The World’s Fastest Indian is a limited edition Giclée print featuring Herbert James “Burt” Munro, a New Zealand motorcycle racer, famous for setting a land speed record at Bonneville Salt Flats.
This fine art print is different than the posters or discontinued prints in the ACCA shop because it is created using a specialized printing technique known as Giclée printing. The ink and paper used to professionally recreate these limited edition prints are fade-resistant, archival, and museum grade. These art prints are extremely high quality and meticulously crafted and reviewed by Kate to ensure that your fine art print looks and feels identical to the original drawing or painting in color and texture.
*Upon placing an order, your art print will be professionally printed in Austin, Texas, so please allow up to three weeks for the arrival of your art print. Your print will arrive loosely rolled and protected in a sturdy cardboard tube via USPS. Each print will be accompanied by an Asphalt Canvas stamped certificate of authenticity.
“The Worlds Fastest Indian” artwork was originally hand drawn in India ink using a technique called pointillism (hand drawn dots) on Bristol paper by artist, Kate Cook. The original framed drawing (16×20 plus custom made mat and frame) is available for purchase.
The inspiration photo of Munro used for this piece was sourced and permitted to use by the E. Hayes and Sons Supply Store in Invercargill, New Zealand. They are home to the unique E. Hayes Motorworks Collection representing one of the finest private collections of classic motorcycles in New Zealand, including Burt Munro’s authentic, original, and legendary ‘World’s Fastest Indian’ motorcycle.
