Mambo No. 5

“Mambo No.5” was recently  featured at the Art4Kids Motorsports Gallery at the James Museum of Art, during the Firestone Grand Prix, in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is the first painting in Kate’s collection titled ‘HIGH GLOSS’.

20″x20″ Gallery Wrapped Canvas. Created entirely with automotive enamels and car paint on canvas in collaboration with Inline Six Paint + Body. This painting features a metallic pink backdrop with hand painted banana leaves intertwined with the historically beautiful curves of the Aston Martin DBR1. The final work was sprayed with a high gloss clear coat in a professional automotive paint booth, which encapsulates the imagery and highlights the sparkle and depth of color in the hand painted designs. The gallery wrapped canvas features a thick, 2”, hand-painted edge that allows the imagery in the artwork to flood over the sides of the canvas. This original Kate Cook painting will come ready to hang. An Asphalt Canvas sealed certificate of authenticity, signed by Kate, will also accompany your original art purchase.
