Hand, Head, & Heart Blog

I want to introduce my new monthly blog called, “The Hand, Head, & Heart”. This portion of my blog used to be called “The Art of Business”, where I posted content designed specifically to help budding artists and creative entrepreneurs with tips, lists, and stories inspired by things I had learned in my own journey. “The Art of Business” blog ran for almost two years and with feedback from my audience, I can humbly say that my posts have helped a small number of people. I’m so grateful!  

My Secret Weapon

However, in full transparency, more times than I can count, I would have an idea for a new post, and because it was faith based, I resisted posting anything in fear I would offend somebody or detract an audience.

When it comes to my overall career, practical business skills and the act of painting are obviously very important topics I want to share with my audience to help them in their own journey. But I If I’m being true to everything that has helped me in my creative practice and business, it is important for me to share my faith. In my past posts about tips and tricks to succeed in art and business I failed to mention my first and number one “weapon” which is my belief and relationship with Jesus. The living word of God has ultimately provided me with an unshakable mindset that I know has genuinely helped me succeed as an artist and career woman.

What is Hand, Head, & Heart?

So, in addition to straightforward advice and check lists for art and business, this blog will start to periodically talk about art and business adjacent Bible verses as well as my experiences with how God has helped throughout my career.

I understand that a lot of people that read my posts may not be believers, and that’s OK. I’m not here to tell you how to believe. I’m just here to share my story in a practical way that I hope will inspire, motivate, or teach someone about business, a creative practice (whether that be welding, sewing, painting, photography, building cars ect.), and a powerful mindset built on faith.   

The Hand, Head and Heart Blog will be a journal collection of conversational and helpful, art, business and belief entries. It will reflect my hands working in the studio, my head working on my business, and my heart working on my faith which all together work seamlessly in my everyday life.

In the coming months, this blog will shift to a monthly membership where my audience will have exclusive access to this blog, as well as other unique opportunities including a live stream paint session, live Q&A, helpful free downloads, discounts and more. Its my goal to create quality content and creative artwork designed to help and inspire others and a monthly membership will not only provide financial means to do so, but it will also be a warm welcome into the inner workings of my studio-my hands, head, and heart.
